Entrepreneurship support
Because we believe that it is essential to increase the number of entrepreneurs in order to form a startup ecosystem in Japan, we provide entrepreneurship support services such as the following.
・Entrepreneur creation programs conducted in cooperation with venture capital firms
We create entrepreneurs through alliances with venture capital firms. Specifically, we uncover individuals who wish to be entrepreneurs and introduce them to venture capital firms, which provide advice and entrepreneurship support. In the event that the individuals we introduce go on to actually start a business, we receive contingency fees from the venture capital firm, and we also provide ongoing human resources support to the newly established company.
・Entrepreneur creation programs conducted in cooperation with research institutions
Research institutions in Japan, such as universities, are home to many outstanding ideas and human resources based on a high level of technical ability. However, there are few cases in which such ideas have been successfully implemented as businesses. We cooperate with venture capital firms associated with universities in order to provide entrepreneurship support, in the form of human resources support for management teams and other personnel, with the aim of developing Japan’s outstanding technology into growth industries. In the event that the management teams, etc. to which we provide support go on to actually start a business, we receive contingency fees from the research institution, and we also provide ongoing human resources support to the newly established company.
Human capitalist
A for Startups consultant who is involved in human resources (human capital)
Employee placement
We introduce candidates, mainly for open-ended employment, to startups, and upon confirmation by the startup or other firm that the candidate has joined the organization, we receive consulting commission in the form of a contingency fee using the date at which they joined the company as a reference point.
In terms of the operational specifics, our human capitalists obtain information on job offers from startups, and work to discover and headhunt candidates who match the opening in question, primarily using human resources databases operated by other companies, such as BizReach, Inc.
Because we pay particular attention to the optimal assignment of human resources at startups, rather than taking the registration-based approach to finding job seekers used by many Japanese employee placement companies, we adopt a “hunting” approach that enables us to efficiently discover personnel who match the recruitment needs in question.
As well as contingency-fee work, we also provide consulting services such as proposing a certain number of candidates every month, or targeting specific individuals.
